Course Description
This course uses a mix of theoretical models, data analysis, empirical findings and real

world examples to discuss the topical issues in international finance. This course will cover the

determination of exchange rate in short run and long run; the balance of payments; output, exchange

rate and macroeconomic policy; international monetary systems and exchange rate choices; and

exchange rate crises.

Group Project + Midterm Exam 45%

Final Exam 50%

Option 1: Group Project (10%) and Midterm Exam (35%).
